Karamu House Arts Academy

Sankofa Adult Dance empowers adult movers through dynamic dance rooted in African diasporic styles. Participants develop physical stamina, rhythmic awareness, and cultural pride while engaging in community-building and creative release. All levels welcome; commitment to growth encouraged.

Class Day: Tuesday and Thusdays

Time: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM (Expands at 6 weeks- see calendar)

Program Dates: September 29 – December 13, 2025

Performance Dates: Friday, December 12, 2025 

                             Saturday, December 13, 2025 

Location: Karamu House, 2355 East 89th Street Cleveland, OH 44106 | Upper Dance Studio

Required Materials: Ladies- Dance leotard, tights, flat jazz shoes | Gentleman- Black dance pants, white tee shirt, flat jazz shoes

Annual Registration Fee: $25.00 (non-refundable)

A member of our finance team will contact you to collect documents such as paystubs or tax returns to assess your family's financial aid eligibility. We will then provide a tuition award and create a personalized payment plan that meets your needs.
