Karamu Arts Academy PRINCIPAL ROLES: INVITATIONAL ONLY!
This is an intensive theatre education course, training youth to perform on a professional level. Students will receive training in dance, theatre and vocal music as they embody an original Karamu production highlighting the history of Karamu House. This production will train students in technique, history and social justice.
This class meets THREE TIMES A WEEK and requires out of class reading and studying in preparation of every class.
THIS CLASS IS AN INVITATION ONLY CLASS BASED ON DEMONSTRATED COMMITMENT AND ABILITY.
Dates: Saturdays January 21, 2023
AND Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays
In-Person: Karamu House 2355 East 89th Street, Cleveland, OH 44106
Required Materials: Materials will be provided
Tuition and Fees: $25 annual Registration Fee + $300 Tuition
Covid Protocol: Masks are required in addition to social distancing.
Culmination: Students will perform March 24th-March 25th 2023 on the Jelliffe mainstage. Students will be performing an original production featuring dance, acting and song commemorating the history of Karamu House.
